This weekend marks the start of the 2009 Formula 1 season. And unlike previous seasons there are no clear-cut favourites. In previous years Ferrari, McLaren, BMW and Renault have been the top runners but with winter testing over and the season ready to get started it will be an entertaining year.

Throughout winter testing there have been a few surprises. None more than the Brawn GP team. When Honda backed out of F1 this past winter, it meant that F1 veteran Ross Brawn would be out of a job (which would have been a shame). But luckily Mr. Brawn came to the rescue and bought the former Honda team and named it Brawn GP. Brawn GP is powered with a Mercedes engine and has out performed all of the teams in winter testing including the car of reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton.

The Gaslight Anthem @ The Opera House - Toronto, Ontario - March 20, 2009

What do you get when you add The Gaslight Anthem, The Opera House, and a highly energetic crowd? A great show! And that’s exactly what The Gaslight Anthem delivered at the sold out Opera House on Friday night.

From the start of Great Expectations to the end of Say I Won’t, the guys from New Brunswick, New Jersey did not stop rocking out. They pumped out song after song that really got the crowd going. As the show went on the more I understood why they are considered to be in the Punk genre. At a first listen they don’t seem to fit in that genre but after seeing them perform live I know now why. Their energy and attitude through out the whole performance did not change, and if it did it would only get better.

Last night I was pretty bored and decided to just search the net for some photoshop tutorials. I stumbled across this site called abduzeedo.com which has about 10 pages worth of tutorials. For some strange reason this site has gone down and I’m really hoping it’s not permanent. Anyways, I found a tutorial that was pretty much what I was looking for. This tutorial allowed me to create a new desktop for myself and can be used to a number of things. Below are small thumbnails of what my outcome was and if you’d like to see the full images click here. Let me know what you think, I look forward to any feedback. Take it easy.

This post is a little late but I eventually got around to writing about it. About a week and a half ago I attended the Autoshow with Flav and went crazy with taking pictures. Since I picked up my Canon Rebel XS I’ve been taking pictures of everything. I figured the Autoshow would be a great place to take pictures with my new DSLR.
